This website provides a Diversity & Inclusion map for organizations and practitioners who are involved in science engagement programs for children. The D&I map is the perfect tool for managers, current practitioners and future ones who work in Science-in-Society (SiS) programs. The D&I map helps you to develop high quality programs which are attractive for children from different social backgrounds and helps you to reflect on the following aspects:
Through self-assessment, the D&I map helps you to measure how effective and sustainable your program is in comparison to other programs. It will also encourage you to think how to improve your current programs and/or the programs you intend to develop.
Therefor the D&I map consists of a questionnaire (self assessment), a benchmarking tool (a in-depth comparison with other programs and organizations all over the EU), a planning tool (action plan) and a manual. In this manual you will find all sorts of tips and tricks and references to interesting literature with regard to creating a more safe and inclusive environment for children and staff. In the D&I map you will also find some examples of questionnaires (evaluation tools) organizations have thus far used to evaluate and monitor their children’s programs.
